But the long-lasting effects of sleep deprivation can be much more damaging than you might be aware of.
Did you know:
- chronic sleep deprivation can cause mental health issues, heart disease, obesity and even cancer?
- when sleep deprived, your mental functioning can be compared to that of being drunk?
Why should we live our lives like this, when we know there is a gentle and responsive solution?
I don't want any family to feel this pain because of a lack of sleep.
Let's put a stop to the inadequate information and poor support, and show every family what a good night's sleep can do.

You can see her passion for helping others and sleep while through. I liked how Daisy was happy to share the strategies she has used and found success with herself. I feel I have learnt so much invaluable information that I can go put to great use to help me grow my business now.“
“I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Daisy, she is kind, approachable and down to earth and the strategies and ideas she has shared have been both practical and useful for my business”
Hi, I'm Daisy, mum of two and award winning sleep consultant. I love coffee, crafting and early nights. I can talk about sleep until I'm blue in the face!
I became a sleep consultant after we got help when our daughter was 4.5. She'd started school and was still waking 5+ times a night. It sounds cliched, but working with a sleep consultant literally changed our lives.
I knew that there had to be plenty more families out there going through what we were, and I just couldn't stop thinking about what a difference I could make to them.
I trained as a sleep consultant whilst on maternity leave, and handed my notice in as soon as I returned to my job as a university manager. Within a year I'd replaced my salary, but even better than that I've been able to:
work my own hours around my family (I typically work 9am - 3pm three days a week plus one or two evenings)
attend every school concert and nursery stay-and-play
reduce my son's childcare to three days a week
take time off during the school holidays without using annual leave or asking for permission
I also know I am making such a difference to the lives of so many families, and that's honestly such a privilege.
I'm so passionate about ending the pain of sleep deprivation and dispelling the myths around it. I'd love to help you do the same.
What we stand for at Lavender Blue Sleep Consulting
At Lavender Blue Sleep Consulting we empower mums to do what's right for their families, no matter what society or social media says.
We want to dispel the old fashioned and untrue myths around sleep training and end the pain of sleep deprivation.
We are honest and empathetic with our clients and empower them to change their and their children's lives for the better.
What happens after I enrol?
You'll receive an email with your log in details where you'll find a recommended reading list.
Your learning area will be ready for you to get started at the end of December, and you'll receive another email about it closer to the time.
You'll also be invited to the first live support session and your bonus lunch and learn event.
How long does this take to complete?
It depends on how much time you have to work on it each week. The theory will take you around 20 hours to work through, plus you'll have practical case studies and an assessment to complete. In total, it's estimated it'll take around 40 hours to complete the Certificate.
If you have two spare evenings a week, it'll take you around 10 weeks to complete.
Whilst the business training is still in the process of been created, it's anticipated it will be a similar amount of studying.
What is the assessment at the end?
The assessment is a mixture of multiple choice and free text answers. There is no time limit and you can retake it as many times as you like. You'll need to achieve 90% to receive your certification.
Is this for me?
If you have an interest in supporting families and the determination to run your own business you can absolutely do this!
It'd particularly suit you if you enjoy talking to new people, you're confident and you're willing to learn.
What does the Certificate allow me to do?
The Certificate in Responsive Sleep Training will allow you to work as a sleep consultant. More than that, it'll show potential clients that you've completed rigorous training at a very high standard.
Is there any ongoing support?
Absolutely. You'll receive access to the weekly live sessions for two years, and access to the Facebook group indefinitely. There will also potentially be other avenues of support which you will be informed of as and when they are implemented.
Will I get clients?
If you are willing to commit to your business and put yourself out there, yes you will get clients. I'm not going to paint a rosy picture where clients will be falling at your feet from day one, because it takes time to build up a business and get the clients coming in consistently.
I was personally able to quit my job in less than a year and earn the same, if not more, but it involved hard work and utter determination
I'm already a sleep consultant, can I join to top up my knowledge?
Of course! Not only will you learn basic methods of sleep training in this course, but you'll find out about little known techniques especially for use with older children.
The business elements to the course will be like nothing you've ever been taught before. Forget just one module of basic business training, there's a whole other certificate in business for sleep training available.
Let's make you the best sleep consultant you can possibly be.
I already have a parenting business, can I join to add this to my services?
Absolutely! Sleep consulting goes so well with other parenting business, such as baby classes, hypnobirthing and doula services right over to health visiting and children's nursing.
You can take the Certificate in Responsive Sleep Training on its own, or alongside the business certificate if you'd like to boost your business too!
When will I make my money back?
This is really hard to say. It depends on so many factors, such as how long it takes you to complete the course and how much time you have to dedicate to working on your new venture.
If you charge £350 for a support package, it'll take less than 3 clients to make your money back for the Certificate, or 5 clients for the business course too!
Can you tell me more about the business certification?
I'd love to!!
A lot of sleep consultant training courses offer basic business training, but I don't believe this is enough.
Whilst there are plenty of clients out there (around 40% of 4 year olds don't sleep through the night), I'm not going to lie to you and say clients will be beating the door down to work with you.
Marketing, selling and business operations are mindblowing if you have no experience (I certainly didn't) and I want to make sure you get this right from the start.
No fumbling around in the dark, just a simple process to follow to make sure you concentrate on what matters the most, helping families.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes! You can pay over 12 months to spread the cost.
If you have any other questions, let's chat!
What's App me on 07598756516 and we can chat.
Seriously, no question is too silly and I'd love to support you on your journey to becoming a sleep consultant.
